After Christmas exploded in our house... we needed to find a new solution to Jacob's toys!! We did some rearranging and have created him a play room. I LOVE it. Matt and I have reclaimed the living room!! I still need to work out some storage options but we now have dedicated space for Jacob to play in.

Merry Christmas
We have had a wonderful Christmas!! Poppy had to work today so he and Jacob opened a few presents last night...
Since the weather has been yucky, Jacob has been riding his new 4 wheeler in the house.
Jacob and Daddy were leaving cookies out for Santa.
ELMO.... he talks!! How cool!!

I accidently found a Zhu-Zhu pet. I was not trying to buy one but when I saw it I could not resist myself. It was a huge hit!! Jacob laughed SO hard as he played with the mouse and it crawled all over the house.

Baking Cookies
Jacob & I baked some sugar cookies this afternoon. He was such a great helper.
He helped mix the dough...
And did such a great job at it!!

He even sat on the floor and watched them bake.
But... he didn't want to eat one! I thought they were yummy!!

Weekend Fun...
We had to have fun at home this weekend. We went and saw the doctor on Saturday morning after Jacob woke up with a terrible cough (sounded like he was chocking). He had bronchitis. He started some steroids on Saturday morning.
We should have driven to Raleigh for Dylan's 3rd Birthday party but we ended up staying home so Jacob could rest. We were sad we were not able to attend the party!!
While seeing the doctor, she checked his ears. She looked at his left ear 3 or 4 times then told us we need to call the ENT on Monday to have him checked out. Something didn't look right with his ear/tube. She thought it might be a blood clot or it could just be wax (she really didn't think it was wax). Hopefully the ENT can get us in early this week.
We did get our Christmas tree up this weekend. Jacob was a great help. He didn't want to help put ornaments on the tree but he did help unpack them and hand them to us to hang on the tree. None have been broken so far!! We did have a mishap when putting the candles in the windows... but I needed new ones anyway!!
Jacob is doing a good job helping out around the house with "chores". He has mastered feeding the cats and loading/unloading the washer/dryer. Now If I can only get him to actually fold the clothes. I do appreciate him being able to move the clothes from the washer to the dryer all by himself.
Feeding the cats: He goes to the pantry to get the food container (needs help opening it), moves it to where the bowl is, scoops out the food, then picks up any pieces he dropped, and returns the container to the closet.

Now if I could just get him to clean up the dust bunnies I see on the floor in this picture!!
