Cruise

Matt & I had a great time on our Cruise. We had planned on going to San Diego this week but when Matt quit his job, his company cancelled the plane tickets that they had purchased for us to attend an award conference for Matt in San Diego. So spur of the moment, we booked a cruise out of Miami to Key West and Cozumel. We did see some rain but overall the weather was great.

This is our Cruise Ship- Carnival Imagination

A resort "El Cid" at Cozumel. We hung out here on Wednesday- ate lunch, swam and snorkeled.

Our sweet little boy at Grandma's this morning (who we miss like crazy) Jacob has been an angel while staying with Grandma. So much so that she is going to keep him one more day so we don't have to haul him all over Charlotte tomorrow looking at houses. We are going to pick him up on Saturday afternoon.

Standing

Jacob loves standing... he loves looking out the window...

Playing with toys...

Getting into trouble...

Jacob is excited about coming to NC next weekend to spend the week with Grandma. Mom & Dad are excited about going to San Diego for the week alone!

House Update: We have 2 (maybe 3) scheduled showings for this evening.... Keep your fingers crossed!!

Watch me grow!

Jacob & Webster at 10 months. It is harder and harder to get Jacob to lay still.

So I got a picture of them standing at the window. Jacob loves standing and looking out the window. Everytime someone comes over Matt has to clean Jacob's finger/mouth marks off the window.

Lima House Update

In the past week, our house officially was put on the market! The sign went in the yard on Monday afternoon.

On Tuesday, we had an open house for the agents at Cowan Realtors. About 15-20 agents came.

On Friday, we had our first showing. It went well but it was too far "east" for them.

We have another showing that will happen either Sunday or Monday, we are waiting on our agent to confirm the date/time for that one. We are hoping that a few more showings will be scheduled for this weekend.

On another note, I love that our house is done. We are no longer tripping over drills, cords, tools and it is so clean!! Matt has done such a great job with the house.

This is what we got when we purchased the house in July 2006!

This is the house now.

The inside looks just as improved as the exterior!!

Poor Baby

Jacob's fever got up to 104.3 today. We called the doctor on call when it hit 103.8 after waking up from his morning nap. The doctor switched his antibiotic to a different one and had us treat the fever with both Tylenol and Motrin. The fever was down to 101 last we checked and he is now peacefully sleeping. Hopefully he does not wake up with a high fever again!

I'm flying out tomorrow night to Maryland and will also go to Toronto and South Carolina this week before coming home on Friday. I don't want to leave a sick baby at home! Only 2 more weeks of traveling. There is an end in sight!!

Matt's last day was on Friday so he will be able to stay home with Jacob if he is not better by Monday.

Fever 102.7

Jacob was running about a 101 fever yesterday at the sitters and last night before going to bed. This morning it is up to 102.7. Hopefully the Tylenol will bring it down quickly.

Below are some pictures from our trip to Michigan last weekend!

Jacob and Tiernan playing in the pool. Tiernan recently turned 1 in August and is going to be a Big Brother in December!!

Tiernan, Will (just turned 2 in August) & Jacob hanging out in the grass.

Will, Jacob & Tiernan hanging out in their strollers! What a handsome group of boys!!

They boys played so good together and Jacob loved meeting his new friends!!

Big Changes!! We are Moving!!

Matt has accepted an offer for us to relocate back to Charlotte. His new position will be with Central Insurance Company as a Marketing Manager responsible for South Carolina and Western North Carolina.

I will no longer be traveling after the next 2 weeks. At this time, I still have my current job and we shall see if we are able to work out the details that will allow me to continue working in my role with the company but excluding travel from my job responsibilities.

Matt's first 3 months will be training in Georgia and Ohio. I'm going to stay in Ohio until we either sell the house or the end of the year. Hopefully we sell the house before the end of the year.

Our house will officially be "For Sale" on Monday.

Ear Infection #3

Jacob has been waking up screaming in the middle of the night for the last 4 nights and it has been taking about 2 hours to get him to go back to sleep. Every time I would lay him back down he would scream again. No fever or any other symptoms.

The doctors office was closed yesterday.

So I took him in this morning to confirm the "mommy diagnosis" and I was correct. He has yet another ear infection. Now that we have some antiobotics, hopefully he will start to feel better before I leave to go to Iowa tomorrow.

They did check his weight and he is up to 19 lbs 9 oz.
