Finger Painting

We tried out finger painting for the first time today. Jacob was a bit timid at first with getting his fingers in the paint.

But, he caught on pretty quickly...

He thought it would be fun to wipe the paint off of his hands onto his arms and stomach!!

St. Patrick's Day Parade

After being stuck in the house all week with Strep (Jacob & myself) we had to get out of the house this morning. Jacob and I headed uptown to check out the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

It was a lot of fun!

He got some beads and was SO excited!

He even posed for some pictures by a water fountain.

As you can see, we didn't think about the fact that we should have dressed in green. St. Patrick's Day was Thursday!!

Strep Throat

Jacob is sick! We went to the doctor today to confirm he has strep throat. It is currently going around the 4 year old class at school. The doctor said it is everywhere right now. I will not be surprised if I end up with it as well due to all the kisses and drink sharing that has gone on in this house.

He felt so bad this evening that he fell asleep sitting in my lap.

Matt is luckily out of town!

Jacob and his "friends"

Jacob has been playing a lot lately with his "friends". The ALL have to sleep right next to him and ALL need to be tucked in and read to. In the morning, he will get up and carry them ALL to the loft couch to watch tv with them. He lines them up perfectly so everyone can see the tv.

FAR LEFT- he has 2 bears. Litte Bear and Big Bear. You can see that he sits little bear in his daddy's lap (big bear)

Artwork from School

We like to believe that Jacob is the smartest kid that has ever lived. I'm sure some of that is due to we are a bit biased. We do get some good reports from school about how well he is doing. Just the other day, the director asked me if I knew he could spell his name... um yep for at least 6+ months now. She was shocked!!

This is a piece of art work that came home this week with a note from the education coordinator written on it. The note says... "He didn't think the first print was dark enough so he got more ink, lined it up and restamped it! WOW!"


He has been working really hard to write his name. I would say that he is doing really well, although I'm not sure what the last two letters are....

Rainy Afternoon

This morning Poppy picked up Jacob and took him to get pancakes for breakfast. Then they went up to Spencer, NC to check out the NC Transportation Museum. They had a blast. I also had a great time laying around the house in my pj's until he got home at 3 pm!!

But when he got home it was beginning to rain so we spent a lot of time playing games!! It was so much fun!!
