Tonight we tested out Jacob's Halloween Costume. Trick or Treating in our town is on Thursday night (it always seems to be the Thursday before Halloween). Each town does it a different night- why I'm not sure... But the costume was a hit and Jacob enjoyed playing it in tonight. We will try to take a few pictures Thursday night while we trick or treat and pass out candy!!

Friday Night in OHIO!

Jacob & I had a great Friday night playing. We took a lot of pictures while we played so we could show daddy what we did since he is not coming home this weekend!

First, we chased Charlie...

Next, we looked in the trash can...

Daddy... I even helped Mommy fold laundry!!

Then I played in the laundry basket until...

it flipped over!!!

We took a break and rested for a few minutes.

And chased Charlie some more!!!

Jacob even had time to practice his walking!!!

He is now peacefully sleeping!!!

House/Moving Updates...

We had another Open House this past weekend and only 1 person came... We don't have any real interest right now on the house. Our agent is still real optimistic on the house. We are still keeping our fingers crossed.

We close on the new house on November 4th!! Matt will be going to Charlotte next week to conduct the walk-through with the builder.

Matt will be back in Ohio on November 7th. He will be at the home office training for 2 weeks (45 minutes from here). So we scheduled the movers to come on Tuesday/Wednesday before Thanksgiving. They will start heading to NC with our stuff after Thanksgiving and it should arrive on Monday/Tuesday December 3/4. Matt will then be back in Atlanta until Christmas!

Jacob and I are ready to move... it is already too cold here!!

Here's a picture of the new house. The builder will redo the yard and lay sod for us prior to closing. Jacob is excited to have a nice big backyard to play in (and a neighborhood pool next summer) and to be moving so close to his grandparents!!

Rocking Chair

Our neighbor came over today and brought Jacob this rocking chair. She is probably in her upper 50's or 60's. Her mom used it, she used it, her kids and grandkids and she wanted to give it to Jacob. I'm guessing it is 70-80 years old...

As you can see, Jacob loved it- especially the fact that it rocked back and forth. He had so much fun trying to make it rock.

The scratch on his face is NOT from the new rocking chair but from him using the entertainment center to stand up and trying to get behind it... needless to say that didn't work out too well for him. But I'm sure he will try again tomorrow!
