8 Months

I can hardly believe that my baby is 8 months old today. Time has flown by so fast. It feel like just yesterday that we found out that we were expecting.

At 8 months:

• Jacob still has NO teeth. You can see the swelling for all 4 front teeth but none have broken the skin yet.
• Jacob can Army Crawl- he is starting to get up on his knees but has not made any forward progress on his knees yet.
• He mumbles Ma-Ma and Da-Da real well. Of course, Da-Da was first!
• He loves the cats. If they are in the room with him he just stares and smiles at them. Don't expect him to eat if he can see them. He would much rather watch the cats than eat.
• Charlie lets Jacob pet (grab) him and they both love it. Abby on the other hand, is a different story.
• Jacob LOVES Mixed Vegetables. He is doing well with eating a variety of foods.
• He does not mind being left at the sitters. He goes to Deb in the mornings with open arms. I hope this never changes!
• He has already had 2 double ear infections. We hope this trend does not continue.
• Jacob loves to jump. It does not matter where he is (jumper, your lap)
• He continues to sleep well (all night)
• His face lights up when either Matt or myself come into a room.
• Jacob loves being outside- it does not matter if we are taking a walk around the neighborhood or just sitting in the back yard under a tree.

I look forward to seeing how he will change over the next few months as he continues to explore.
