Lazy 5 Ranch

Today we went to Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville and had a blast!! We took the wagon ride through the ranch and got to see and feed a ton of animals!! Jacob was not one bit scared of any of the animals.

This cow was used in a movie-- not sure which one though?

Jacob got to feed a giraffe several leafs. He LOVED it!! (sorry for the smudge on the camera lens)

Good Night after a FUN Day!!

Jacob was worn out after a fun day in the sun!! As you can see... he feel asleep with his blanket, Elmo, his shovel and the star sand mold. He was not willing to give any of them up before going to bed.

When I put him in his pack-n-play only the blanket and Elmo made the transfer!!

This morning Poppy, Jacob & I went walking up to the pier to see if anyone was catching any fish and had fun picking up shells and playing in the water along the way.

Myrtle Beach

Jacob & I are spending a few days at the beach with Poppy, Uncle Matt & Savannah. We are having a great time!!

Lima House Update

We have not closed yet. The buyers loan is not ready yet. It finally got out of underwriting at the bank and has gone on to get approval from the Government for the USDA loan. Our agent is estimating 10-14 days from last Friday. We are crossing our fingers it goes through quickly.

They buyer is now pushing very hard to get us closed as they are scheduled to be moved out of their apartment tomorrow and have scheduled a graduation party at our house for Saturday. OOPS... I don't think either are going to happen. They asked to move in early and we turned down that offer unless they could fork over a large amount of money as earnst money to ensure they will close- which they don't have. So they are in a bit of a pickle which will hopefully put pressure on them to push the loan through faster.

We just signed the extension on the closing for on/before July 4th. We are hoping to be closed by next Friday... Keeping our fingers crossed.

Happy Father's Day!!

We had a great Father's Day today. Jacob & I took Matt out to breakfast this morning. This evening we invited over both Grandfather's for dinner. We cooked out on the grill and had a wonderful evening!!

Beat the Heat

Nothing is better on a HOT summer day than a popsicle!!

Our pool finally opened!! We just had to check it out yesterday. It was great!! Jacob (and Mommy & Daddy) had a blast!! I have a feeling we will be there a ton this summer!!

1200 miles in 30 hours

Friday afternoon we left to drive up to Ohio to get the last few things out of the house. Jacob did great on the drive up and we arrived about 1:30 am.

We cleaned out the house on Saturday morning and then headed home. Jacob did great until about 6:30 pm when he started to get tired and antsy from sitting in the car all day. He finally fell asleep about 9 for the last hour.

We arrived home safely to find the cats were locked in Matt's office!!

The good news is that we are scheduled to close on the house on Thusday!! We should get the paperwork on Tuesday or Wednesday!!

The one thing I LOVE about Jacob's new daycare is the amount of Arts & Crafts that they do. Here are a few of his master pieces from the last week!!

Baby Stevie

Saturday Matt, Jacob & I drove up to Elkin to meet Baby Stephanie "Stevie". She is so cute!!
Congrats Steve & Nicki on your beautiful daughter.


I was not sure when we got there if Jacob was actually going to let me hold her. He stayed glued to me for the first bit but he finally let me hold her as long as he was sitting in the chair with me. Matt didn't waste anytime getting his hands on her as soon as we walked in the door.

Outside fun!!

Jacob LOVES playing outside!! We get a good amount of shade for us to play in after work when it is really hot (like today) Yes I do know he was wearing pants- it was what he had at daycare as "extra" and he didn't want to change when he got home.

New Daycare- It is going well!! I could not be more happy. Jacob is doing great and is enjoying it. His teachers are wonderful!! He has to pack his lunch every day and he is so cute carrying his lunch box in every morning.

Pool: Our neighborhood pool is oh so close to opening and we can't wait!! They had the fountains running today so I hope that is a good sign. They still have some landscaping to finish... I have my fingers crossed it will be open this weekend but... I realistically think it will be next weekend!!
