New Fence

Our new fence has been going up over the last 2 days. They will finish it up tomorrow with the last 6 picketts and the gates. I was a bit worried that the fence would make our odd shaped backyard feel small but it actually makes it feel bigger! We now don't have to worry about a neighbors dog coming to visit and Jacob can play outside with less supervision!!

Bedtime

Normally bedtime around our house is pretty easy. Jacob climbs into bed and that it is. Tonight he needed a bit of extra attention (I think he was overly worn out since he had not been to daycare in 4 days). Matt went in to take him some water while I was doing laundry. When I came out of the laundry room, this is what I found. Jacob had made him a pillow out of his blanket and covered him up with another one.

Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease

Daycare called us Thursday morning that Jacob was sick and running a fever of 102.7. I was in Greenville for a meeting and Matt was about 1.5 hours away too. Poppy went and picked him up and gave him some Tylenol until I could get home. Hand, Foot & Mouth was going around his school so we went to the Pediatrician's office to get check out. By the time we got there, his fever was back and up to 103.3. The doctor confirmed he had Hand, Foot & Mouth. He was ok as long as he has meds in him to control his fever.


He woke up a new kid today!! He is much better!! No fever in over 24 hours and no pain meds. He never got the classic rash on his hands/feet- just sores in his throat!


We were scheduled to go to the beach for the weekend but we cancelled the trip and hung out at home all weekend. Granddaddy came over on Saturday to hang out and have dinner.




Back to daycare tomorrow!!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!! We had a great day together!! We got a new tri-pod for our camera so we practiced taking family pictures!! I think I was the only one who enjoyed the photo sessions!!

Jacob & I attempted to make Matt a clay hand print yesterday. We were going to finish it this morning with the paint but it was not dry yet. Obviously, my craft skills are not the best... we are still waiting for it to completely dry 24 hours later. It will get painted this week sometime and then I will post a picture!! Jacob also got daddy a new golf bag!!
