Happy 6 months!

My sweet baby is 6 months old today. I can't believe how big he is getting. I love watching him learn new things everyday.

Babbling- Jacob babbles a lot. If you are reading him a book he babbles along with you as if he wants to read the book to you.

Rolling- Jacob is doing great at rolling over. He can roll across the living room floor now to be able to get what he wants. He does get himself in trouble during the night- for the last week at 3:30 am- I hear him crying and when I go to check in on him he is face down in the corner of the crib- he has rolled over there and can't get out. Once I flip him back over and in the center of the crib he goes right back to sleep.

Sleep- Jacob goes to bed between 6-730- 7:30 pm at the latest but sometimes he falls asleep before then and usually wakes up between 6:30 am and 7 am. He sleeps all night (minus the last week when he gets stuck in the corner on his stomach) and is happy ready to play when he gets up.

Solid Food- We have eaten- Rice Cereal, Oatmeal, Carrots, Peas, Sweet Potato, Green Beans, Bananas. We are still adding new foods every few days. He is doing good with the food- He LOVES his oatmeal and could care less for the rice cereal unless it is mixed with anything else. We think he had a reaction to the green beans so we are waiting a few months before we try again.

Crawling- Not yet but he is trying hard. When he gets his bottom in the air he falls over.

Teeth- No teeth yet- he is chewing on everything and drooling so maybe we are getting close.

Travel- Jacob has been to NC 3 times in 6 months and we are going to the beach (Outer banks) in June. He has been on the airplane twice with me and does great. I'm hoping the car ride to the beach is as easy.

We have his 6 month appointment next week so I will post his doctor appointment update then.

Sounds like Jacob is doing great and the sleep thing...that's the best part. I remember that it seemed like 3mos, 6mos, and 1 year were major turning points. Its almost as if someone flips a switch and you can see such a big change. It just keeps getting better, and each stage is so much fun!
